SVS QHSE performance 2012 - 2018

Introduction

Over the last eight year period of operating, Specialised Vessel Services has managed an offshore fleet of between ten and twenty four multipurpose vessels, supporting operations within the EMEA market with particular focus on Oil and Gas Exploration across East and West Africa. 2015 saw the company take delivery of a new build DAMEN 5509 FSIV from Cape Town, christened SVS Cornwallis, and bareboat a 68m long range Utility Vessel to support specific charterer requirements.

Management of the fleet has presented some exacting challenges in maintaining standards, but the Company has risen to those challenges, exceeding all target metrics and delivering the safest and most successful year in 2018 since our incorporation in 2010.

The recorded QHSE performance data within this report considers recordable incident statistics, KPI’s from the IOGP Health & safety incident reporting system users’ guide, and internal sustainability aspirations.

SVS considers such alignment with IOGP guidelines (incident/event classification and causal factors) as crucial to benchmark our own internal performance and systems against other IOGP stakeholders.

Our senior management are committed to a journey of continuous improvement which is key to the development of our safety culture.

Message from the QSHE manager

Specialised Vessel Services has seen the offshore maritime logistics sector become an increasingly competitive marketplace, in which QHSE continues to play a central role in both internal, and within charterer led, operations.

The protection of our personnel and assets, and that of our stakeholder’s investment and reputation, has been maintained through a strong corporate culture of QHSE excellence.

The Performance Review communicates fleet performance, judged by internal historical data, which is benchmarked through industry wide available analytical data; this then acts as a tool by which the company has set its safety targets and annual Key Performance Indicators.

SVS has developed a structured, thorough and ambitious QHSE Plan for 2019, available to potential charterers upon request, which includes details of our comprehensive audit schedule of all current assets, systems and standards, and also our continuous improvement objectives, which ensures Specialised Vessel Services remains pioneers of excellence within our marketplace.
