Company profile

SVS was set up in 2010 to provide safety and standby vessels in support of oil & gas exploration off East Africa. SVS rapidly expanded its operations and fleet size and have managed organic growth to now own and operate 4 ships. We are a genuine ship owner and operator, owning our fleet of vessels.

As we move forward, the company has recently positioned itself for continued growth, with a strategy to move into new geographic and vessel markets, with continued investment in new build and S & P activity.

As a company we work in partnership with our charterers and as well as providing spot and time charter services, also look to build against contract to specific client requirements.

With our company headquarters in Mauritius we have an exciting phase of growth ahead of us with plans to set up and establish subsidiary operations in the markets and geographies we serve. This includes our new business in West Africa.

Our services are delivered to the marine and offshore markets and we actively look to engage with exploration and related work in the energy sector.

Our business strategy

We operate in support of three key business segments; seismic acquisition, drilling operations and static sample work.

In addition we have a growing market in the provision of marine logistics, supply and support operations to the larger commercial marine market.

We are active in the S & P market and we are looking to renew our fleet, based on the needs of our growing business. This includes activity in the AHTS, PSV and surfer market.

Health, Safety, Security and
Environmental - HSSE

SVS believes that effective health, safety, security and environmental performance across our operations depends on a commitment to maximise awareness of these risks at every level of the organisation. We engage in a wide range of communications, awareness-raising and shared learning activities. These activities are aimed at ensuring that our people can identify health, safety and security risks and understand the behaviours required to keep themselves and others free from harm at all times.

The SVS strategic approach to the communication of safety is overseen by the most senior leaders in the Group, with visible advocacy from the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team.
